SYBASE India PowerDesigner Workshop in PUNE

Hi Friends and Members of the Sybase India User Group,

As always, its amazing to see how much Sybase has accomplished over the years with Power Designer.

Being a novice user of Power Designer I chucked out my other ex-fav tool and started to work with PowerDesigner.

My Projects were faster and much more accurate :).

I got total relief from the umteen number of powerful features available in PowerDesigner.


The event was kick started by Rahul, who introduced David Dichmann, Sr.Product Manager for the PowerDesigner Product.

And David kicked things off by letting us know the importance of Data Modelling and clearly desribed the difference between Data Audiences and App Dev Audiences. The Data Audiences had their place and needed to make sure that no matter what requirements change, they will never affect the Code, which is great news for most of us :)

We then moved to talk about the Product itself, it had some pretty amazing features.

My fav part was the Requirements import from Word to PowerDesigner and the Impact Analysis.
And last but not least attendees were again given a 3 month free membership to ISUG.

The session was then closed and we had dinner and walked away with the Sybase Developer Network T-shirt ;)
